This Yamaha YBS-52 Baritone Saxophone, serial number 002322, was manufactured in the mid-to-late 1980s, during the early production run of Yamaha’s widely respected intermediate baritone model. Built in Japan, the YBS-52 is known for its excellent intonation, reliable keywork, and full, clear tone, making it a go-to choice for advancing students, adult players, and woodwind doublers seeking a dependable, responsive bari.

This horn has been relacquered, and as a result, the original Yamaha logo and bell engraving are no longer visible. However, the body remains structurally sound and fully functional. It shows only minor cosmetic dents and scratches, none of which affect playability. The horn plays evenly across the full range, with a solid, centered low end and Yamaha’s trademark tonal clarity and balance.

The YBS-52 features a Low A key, ergonomic key layout, and modern build quality, making it a workhorse instrument ideal for concert band, jazz ensemble, or pit orchestra use.
