Manufactured in 1935. This extremely rare, fully overhauled silver-plated baritone is a striking example from Martin’s Handcraft Standard line, built in Elkhart, Indiana at a time when the company was producing some of its finest professional horns. Known for their robust construction and resonant, powerful sound, these baritones remain highly respected among players and collectors alike.

This example is in excellent playing condition, featuring all new pads for reliable sealing and response. The original silver plating remains in beautiful shape, with minor age-appropriate wear, and the horn is free of any significant dents or structural issues. Light cosmetic scratches are present, but nothing that detracts from its visual appeal or performance.

The Handcraft Standard baritone delivers the classic Martin sound—rich, warm, and commanding in the low register, with a strong, colorful voice across the full range. Its solid build and distinctive tonal presence make it an excellent choice for serious baritone players or collectors seeking an authentic piece of American saxophone history.

Features:

  • Serial #112486 – manufactured in 1935
  • Original silver-plated finish in very fine condition
  • All new pads for excellent playability
