WRM00053

Rare vintage Otto Link “Eburnated Bar” hard-rubber tenor saxophone mouthpiece, manufactured by Link & Co. in New York during the late 1930s. This early model features Otto Link’s slant-script logo, decorative double bands and serial number 7338.

The Eburnated Bar is known for its exceptionally large chamber, scooped sidewalls and minimal rollover baffle—a classic early Link design associated with a broad, warm and rounded tenor sound.

The mouthpiece is in used vintage condition with surface scratches, oxidation and visible wear on the beak consistent with its age. The tip and rails appear intact, with no obvious cracks or major chips visible. The facing number and exact tip opening could not be confirmed, and the mouthpiece has not been play-tested.
