A vintage Brilhart metal alto saxophone mouthpiece from the desirable “Designed By Arnold Brilhart” period. These chrome-plated models were produced after Brilhart’s association with Selmer and represent some of the company’s most successful later professional designs. Featuring a rollover-style baffle and medium chamber configuration, these pieces are known for their lively response, projection, and versatility across jazz, commercial, and lead alto playing.

The “Designed By Arnold Brilhart” metal models remain one of the better values in vintage metal alto mouthpieces. They offer much of the immediacy and punch players seek from classic jazz-era metal pieces while retaining the easy-blowing character that made Brilhart famous. Compared with contemporary Links or Berg Larsens, these tend to be slightly more forgiving and centered while still providing enough edge for big band or amplified settings. For players looking for a professional vintage metal alto piece without entering the four-figure collector market, these are often excellent performers.
