Beechler 7 Hard Rubber Soprano Saxophone Mouthpiece – Vintage
$175.00
In stock
A vintage Beechler Beechler hard rubber soprano saxophone mouthpiece, likely produced in the 1980s-1990s, featuring a 7 tip opening and the brand’s characteristic streamlined body profile. Beechler built a strong following among jazz and commercial players for mouthpieces that offer immediate response, strong projection, and a naturally lively tonal core.
This example appears to be one of their hard rubber soprano models, which tend to balance warmth and focus with a bit more edge and cut than many traditional classical-style pieces. The 7 tip gives it a comfortable medium-open feel, making it flexible enough for both straight-ahead jazz and more contemporary soprano playing.
Condition is good used vintage condition with visible oxidation, discoloration, and cosmetic wear throughout the body, along with moderate tooth wear on the beak. The rails, tip, and table appear intact from the photos, with no obvious chips, cracks, or bite-through damage. It shows honest use but remains structurally solid.

Beechler soprano pieces can be sleepers. They often have a very direct, efficient feel – easy to center, easy to project, and usually a little brighter than an Otto Link or vintage Selmer while still retaining enough body to avoid getting thin.
A 7 facing on soprano is a sweet spot for a lot of players. Open enough to give flexibility and color, but not so open that it becomes unstable. For jazz, pit work, or amplified settings, this could be a very practical and musical piece.
